Wirral Council is seeking enthusiastic applicants for new roles in its Design & Commissioning team, highway design function which is part of the Council's Highways & Infrastructure service, in Neighbourhoods directorate. The team is committed to providing a high-quality civil engineering design and engineering project management service to all its clients as an internal traded business unit. The team has a large portfolio of projects from minor highway improvements under the Combined Authority Transport Plan to wider City Region major projects and Key Route Network infrastructure improvements. In order to help us deliver these services effectively we are seeking highly motivated individuals in the following key role:

We have developed a career progression pathway with four stages with a well-defined framework for progression through the stages, which would be subject to meeting the competency-based evidence at review. Successful candidates will be fully supported on their career path with rewarding work-related development and, where applicable, day release training at college. Applications are welcome from candidates meeting the essential criteria at any of the four stages as follows:

Trainee Technician, Band D - Salary £19,698-£20,092

Technician, Band F - Salary £22,183-£24,491

Engineer, Band H - Salary £29,577-£32,234

Senior Engineer, PO3 - Salary £32,910-£35,745
