About Us:

Adult Social Care and Public Health

While many of our residents are flourishing in our borough, others need a little more support – and that is where our Adult Social Care and Public Health team come in.

Working alongside colleagues in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), we have formed a Bi-Borough partnership which supports the sharing of facilities and expertise – this allows us to provide joined-up health and social care services that are constantly evolving and improving.
With both boroughs ranked as having some of the best adult social care services in the country, we intend to maintain these high standards, supporting people to stay close to their communities and homes, and outside of acute and institutional care where it is appropriate.  We help our community to be as independent as possible, and we have a clear focus on early intervention.

If you have the drive, determination and vision to make a positive impact on our residents’ lives, please take a look at our vacancies below.

The Role:

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) are seeking to appoint a Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Practitioner who wants to make a real difference to the delivery of social care within our busy integrated community mental health service in central London.

As a Social Worker/AMHP you will undertake social care assessment, care and support planning, placement and review, safeguarding, and MHA/MCA work. You will be an Approved Mental Health Professional with sound experience of this work, able to carry out exemplary assessments under the Act, or you will be looking to train for this role when opportunity presents. Ideally you will be a Best Interests Assessor.

You will be surrounded by supportive and friendly colleagues, in a reflective workplace culture where continuing professional development is well-embedded. We will support you to continue developing your skills in specialist areas of practice through our many learning and development opportunities and through personal development planning conversations with your professional supervisor and line manager.

Applicants must demonstrate suitability against the person specification and Job Description.
