A vacancy has arisen for a Teaching & Learning Manager within the SEND Department.

The role involves managing tutors to deliver courses across a range of subjects in SEND across Birmingham.

In addition to programme planning and managing tutors, the role is primarily concerned with supporting the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment, internal quality assurance, and ensuring that provision is well resourced and meets the diverse needs (including employment), of learners. The post holder will need to be conversant with online monitoring tools such as eTrackr and digital platforms for the delivery of courses through Blended Learning and online.

Travel between Birmingham’s Adult Education Centres will be required, and travel expenses can be claimed according to the BCC Approved Mileage Scheme. The successful applicant will be flexible as some evening and Saturday work is required.

You will need to have a teaching qualification at Level 5 and a relevant subject qualification at Level 4
