Local Highway Officer

The Place and Economy Directorate is at the forefront of making sure Cambridgeshire is open for business. The Local Highway Officer role is based in the Highway Service and provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to join our highways team.

The role is to identify maintenance repairs and improvements and to work with Community Groups and Partners, dealing with customer correspondence from Parish Councils and members of the public. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written and be able to build relationships with customers, elected members, businesses, partner organisations and other stakeholders.

We are looking for a candidate who preferably has experience of highway maintenance or a technical background.

We operate from a number of bases across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and the role will be based in our South Highways Depot. although currently working from home due to COVID19.

Interviews will be held remotely on 25th January 2021.
