We’re home to the most important conversations happening today.And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Lead Network Engineer, you’ll provide a high-quality desktop support service for the whole council, which will improve the future for all of us.

Camden are seeking a Lead Network Engineer to take responsibility for the design, specification, development and day-to-day operations of the Camden network infrastructure.

We are going through exciting new changes, which require the need for Lead Network engineers who can redesign, architect, document and implement an innovative network. In this role you will deliver a high quality and efficient network service, supporting staff and officers working from a variety of council offices, mobile and remote locations, exploiting network technologies and management support systems.

You will be CCIE qualified and MUST attach your certificate to the application. BSc in relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience is also required. Hands on Palo Alto firewall and global protect is desirable.

A strong understanding of the IT / IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations and the IT applications and service processes. Proficient in the frameworks and principles on which networks, systems, equipment and resources are based along with an understanding in telecommunications protocols.

You will also have good communication skills, with the willingness to work extra hours when required.

This role is also subject to a DBS Enhanced Check.
