This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council and lead our Engineering & Project Delivery team that develops and delivers:

• Major project delivery
• Feasibility and detailed design proposals
• Highways improvements including drainage, structures and geotechnics
• Flood risk management and the Ironbridge Gorge flood defences
• Winter maintenance
• Contract and commercial management in a partnering environment

As Service Manager and member of the Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services senior management team, you will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects and solutions including major transport schemes. You will work closely with the Director for Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services to specifically support the development and delivery of the team from both a strategic and service perspective across the borough.

Telford has its roots in the 1960s but this doesn’t mean we’re stuck in the past. Over the last 50 years the town has grown and developed into a hub of innovation and investment. Telford & Wrekin Council is ambitious, always looking to develop, improve and attract investment; the Council has recently delivered a number of exciting projects and over the next three years is embarking on a further significant investment programme – will you be a key part of it?
