Service Manager – Neighbourhoods and Environment

£51,555 - £54,615 per annum

(There will be an opportunity for the successful applicant to apply for an upgrade to an Assistant Director role after one year’s service – salary up to £60,934

Do you have experience of working in a highly political environment with a background in Waste, Environmental Services or Transport; and are looking to take the next step in your career?

Ashfield District Council is looking for their next Service Manager, Neighbourhoods and Environment and if you are the right candidate you could progress to Assistant Director in a year.

Neighbourhood Services in Ashfield have undergone significant transformation which includes digital service transformation in front line services, and a more commercial approach to all service areas.

The Council is looking for a leader with the ability to think and act strategically; whilst maintaining a strong relationship with the operations. The role is varied and fast paced with responsibility for one of the Council’s largest services areas and significant budgets.

With experience in project and programme management the post holder would also be responsible for leadership and delivery of the Council’s Cleaner and Greener theme within the Corporate Plan.
