We are currently looking for exceptional new team members to join our Highways Operations team. The team control, manage and deliver highway maintenance and improvement schemes, major projects, delivery of the out of hours and winter maintenance services, local network management and liaison with all stakeholders.
Based centrally in Preston, you will lead various teams countywide to deliver on the improvement and developments of the Highways, Street Lighting, Structures, Environmental Services, Traffic Safety Services and Business Support Function within the service. The team interact with a wide range of stakeholders from national government to individual residents requiring excellent customer responsiveness and service.
You will provide visible leadership and management with effective strategic and operational performance and financial management ensuring that services provided by and contracted by the Council are delivering desired outcomes and meet all statutory duties and responsibilities.
