Salary £42,683-£46,566 per annum | Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours per week 

Relocation allowance may be available for eligible employees amounting to up to a maximum of £7,356 (net of VAT).

Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highway related schemes across the County made up of 4300 miles of road, 151,000 street lights and 2955 bridges. In addition to this, as a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA), we have the responsibility for reducing the risk of flooding from surface water and groundwater.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Floor Risk Officer who will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in supporting the authority in managing its statutory flood risk management duties. You will be the technical lead for flood risk projects with responsibility for service planning to develop progress technical drainage and flood mitigation solutions.

We are seeking someone with a sound background in flood risk management, with experience in reviewing sustainable drainage plans as part of the development management process, and willing to get involved in developing and processing new projects with our strategic partners.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
