Commercial Contract Supervisor - PO1: Salary £30,507 - £32,878

Wirral Council is seeking enthusiastic applicants for the role of Commercial Contracts Supervisor in its Design & Commissioning Team, Highway Design function - which is part of Wirral Council's Commercial Management Service.

In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection and supervision of highway and civil engineering construction works and monitoring of contractors to ensure that the standard of all work undertaken complies with relevant legislation, contract specifications, performance standards, codes of practice and on-site health and safety policies.  You will also assist with site topographical and dimensional surveys for highway and civil engineering construction works schemes, including surveys of prospective sites and setting out of works and liaise with Statutory Undertakers in relation to existing plant or apparatus and potential alterations as a consequence.

Acting as Supervisor under NEC contracts and in support of the Project Manager, technical and administrative staff, you will have responsibility for contract administration aspects of civil engineering construction works schemes, including: checking of setting out; checking, recording and measuring the quality of workmanship, assessing the value of work completed and commercial accounts.

You'll need to be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, possess relevant Streetworks Accreditation and should have experience of both working effectively in a team and an ability to work with mathematical equations or measurements, in order to review and check technical and commercial data.
