These positions will be allocated as follows:

Up to 3 positions in the Pollution and Noise Control team

1 position in the Food Safety Team

1 position in the Health and Safety Team

We have an opportunity available in our Food Safety Team for an experienced Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner (again with an accredited Environmental Health Degree and EHORB registration). The successful candidate will ideally be already fully authorised in all aspects of Food Safety inspections and able to deliver the full range of food official controls.

We have an opportunity in our Health and Safety Team, again for an Experienced Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner (again with an accredited Environmental Health Degree and EHORB registration). The successful candidate will need to be authorised and experienced in local authority Health and Safety enforcement.

We have also identified that we need a new team of up to 3 Environmental Health officers/practitioners (with accredited Environmental Health Degree and EHORB registration) within the Environmental Protection Team. This team will work within Environmental Health in the Public Protection Service, but will also spend time embedded in our Services tasked with delivering our ambitious plans for the district, and will work with colleagues outside Environmental Health directly, giving fast professional advice and support. It is anticipated that candidates will have significant experience and knowledge in Environmental Health and Planning work. We expect candidates (for these 3 roles) to have expertise or qualifications in one or more of the relevant areas of Air Quality, Acoustics and/or Contaminated Land.

It is anticipated that all these positions will be full time and entail a standard working week of 37 hours.
