City Services is responsible for the Council’s front line services including, customer service channels (digital, contact centre and face to face) and environmental operations such as highways, drainage, transportation, waste, street cleansing, parks and cemeteries.

About the job

The post holder will report directly to the Assets and Infrastructure Team Manager and will provide a technical lead on the delivery of highway asset management and asset valuation. The post holder must also have knowledge and experience of the development, implementation and promotion of asset management plans along with relevant policies, reports and procedures. They must have knowledge and experience of developing/maintaining databases including GIS and asset management systems.

About the person

The post holder will hold an HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or other related discipline and have experience in working in a design/construction related environment with strong bias to drainage assets and highways. This post requires you to demonstrate the ability to work well as both an individual and team member with minimal management input. The post holder(s) will also be required to possess an ability to organise and prioritise tasks and deliver complex outcomes to tight deadlines.

You will be skilled at analysing multiple sources of information, making excellent decisions, and driving difficult situations towards a positive resolution.
