Place Services is at the forefront of environmental consultancy in the public sector, and our people are integral to our success. The growth of our commercial practice means we are now looking for a resourceful, confident and professional ecologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

We aspire to enhance places through a collaborative approach and unrivalled expertise in assessment, design, planning and management. For the right individuals, we offer a competitive salary, a generous benefit and training package, and a truly varied workload. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a specialist team on a wide range of exciting projects focused on ecological survey and assessment (both client side and on behalf of Local Planning Authorities), planning policy support, and sustainable development.

We need an experienced Ecological Consultant with a good understanding of the planning system and significant experience of protected species legislation (preferably holding one or more Natural England survey licences). All applicants should have associate membership of CIEEM (or be eligible for this grade) and the ability to respond pragmatically and creatively to challenging deadlines and a varied workload.

Based in our offices in Chelmsford, you will work as part of a team of dedicated professionals, delivering an exciting array of projects across the south-east.

Interviews: We will be looking to interview for these roles on 6th December 2019.
