Using your administrative and communication skills to the full, you’ll provide invaluable support across our busy Directorate. 

Your hugely varied role will see you, answering calls to a busy helpdesk for reporting building maintenance and highways issues, logging the calls and ensuring all the necessary information is gathered from the caller, processing highways licences and permits, administering  property maintenance term contracts, processing orders and payment requests and monitoring performance, liaising with property managers and staff and contractors

You must be able to work to tight deadlines effectively and accurately to ensure the departments performance is maintained, ensuring attention to detail at all times.

Providing a support service to DMT and Heads of Service is a requirement of this role including, diary management, arranging meetings and booking rooms. You must be able to handle phone calls providing a professional, customer friendly initial point 

Given the sheer breadth of this role, you’ll need to be highly organised, flexible and proactive, with a willingness to learn and be part of a busy vibrant team. You must be comfortable talking to both customers and colleagues, and have a solid understanding of databases and computerised ordering systems.
