Job Details

We are looking for an assistant tree officer to join a busy Tree Section working with the most up to date arboriculture equipment’s and IT resources.  You will assist in the management of Council owned trees and the maintenance of the Council’s tree stock. 

You must be willing to undertake a wide range of duties for example: financial management, simple tree inspection, contract monitoring, general administration, database interrogation and information retrieval, manipulation of large amounts of data within Excel, recharging Client departments, and producing financial reports for client departments.

The successful post holder will have ambition to work in the arboricultural industry and will ideally have experience carrying out simple tree inspections, and contract and financial monitoring.

You will have good tree and pest identification, knowledge of tree legislation and be familiar with tree surgery operations, including planting and industry best practice. As well as being able to adapt and prioritise workloads, you will also need to be computer literate, have good communication skills, and will be able to engage a range of stakeholders, including the Council and Camden’s wider communities, that feed into the delivery of liveable places.
