Are you an established engineer with proven experience working with traffic signals and ITS equipment? If so, an opportunity has risen here at Kirklees Council within our Urban Traffic Management Control Team.

We are looking for a Principal Engineer to manage the delivery of Highway related projects by utilising their technical and working knowledge of traffic signal operations, TR2500 form and specification/configuration writing.

Ideally you will already have:

-       Incorporated Engineer status or significant experience managing complex UTC related projects

-       Proven experience of working with traffic signals and ITS equipment

-       In-depth knowledge and experience of current industry standards

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time.  It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence.
