We currently have a vacancy for a Network Permit Officer to be part of a group of technical staff responsible for ensuring the timely dissemination of information regarding the London Permit Scheme (LoPS) to all members of the team aimed at ensuring delivery of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 by undertake data management duties in support of the LB Redbridge Permit scheme/LoPS, the Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) scheme for breach of permit conditions, road and street works register and for the management of Utility licenses/permits, Highway Authority's works and other street works.
The post holder is expected to work outdoors most of the time to undertake site inspections aimed at determining, checking and assessing breaches of permit conditions, safety and adequacy of interim and permanent reinstatements.
The post holder should be New Roads & Street Works (NRSWA) qualified/accredited and hold a full UK driving license (reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabled candidates).
This post is entitled to an essential car user allowance.
