A caseworker assists the team's professional, experienced case officers to meet the standards expected of a public authority deputy so that our clients' best interests are always met.

The current roles include a chance to work with our client "onboarding" team, a caseworker role which includes researching, investigating and analysing clients and their financial affairs.

* To search for and secure a client's assets, savings at the earliest opportunity.

* To reconcile & investigate queries on clients' accounts to ensure high levels of safeguarding.
* To scrutinise and pay clients' bills in a timely manner to ensure excellent customer service.

* To administer all aspects of a prepaid card process.
* To assist with the preparation of a client's annual account and report.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* Educated to A level or equivalent by experience
* Evidence of knowledge in the provision of a local authority deputy and appointee service.
* Understanding of The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its Code of Practice, including an understanding of how the five statutory principles of the MCA are applied within working practices.

* Know about The Care Act, public authority funding and charges for care.
* Excellent communication skills and a practical understanding of physical, emotional and attitudinal barriers facing people with disabilities.
* Experience of writing/recording clear and accurate reports, decisions and objective notes.

* Is an organised finisher of tasks and works with an attention to detail.
