Job Details

An opportunity has arisen for two exceptional candidates with extensive building surveying skills to join the Disability & Home Improvement Team. The main focus of the team is to support older and vulnerable borough residents to live independently in their own homes by adapting or improving their environment.

This rewarding job will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities.

You will need to have MRICS, MCIOB, ACIOB or an HNC in building surveying or substantial relevant experience. You must have extensive experience of supervising building contractors on site and have a detailed knowledge and understanding of construction techniques in relation to domestic dwellings. You must have the ability to apply advanced problem solving skills to the design and specification of complex disabled adaptations.
