Working within relevant legislation and Council policy, reporting to the Senior Asset Maintenance Officer as an Asset Maintenince (Fabric) Officer you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex projects. You will manage and monitor external professional consultants and contractors involved in designing and implementing asset improvement works through the Council’s framework agreements.

You will specialise in Building Fabric and undertake technical and design responsibility for a range of capital and revenue projects for the repair and maintenance of the Council’s land and property assets, including multi-discipline and single discipline design teams for new build, refurbishment and remodelling building contracts.

Requirements of the Job:

  • Detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to apply the legislation to practice.

  • Experience of presenting information to groups, leading discussions / facilitating training sessions.

  • Appropriate qualifications.

  • Have experience managing and delivering complex projects onsite.

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time.  It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence.
