Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprentice

We are looking for a Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprentice. As an Apprentice, you will learn on the job to provide advice, guidance and support on a wide variety of health and safety issues. This could be from how to comply with statutory requirements through to implementing nationally recognised best practice.
Throughout your apprenticeship you can expect to receive ongoing support and guidance from others within the team, as well as dedicated time assigned to complete your Level 3 qualification in Safety, Health & Environment.
To be successful you must have:
· Level 2 in Maths and English or Grade C and above GCSE
· Level 1 ECDL or equivalent
· Have excellent communication skills including through social media platforms
Our team is unique as the Health & Safety Service is shared between North Yorkshire County Council and the City of York Council. We are also growing and branching out into commercial areas with academies and other public sector bodies, so you would be joining us as we move forward on our journey.
