Bedford is growing at a fast pace and we are investing heavily in our highways infrastructure. With significant projects such as our £20 million Bedford 2020 congestion relief programme, major development works to support housing and business growth and public realm improvement works. 

To assist the Highways and Drainage Project Engineers in the design of highways and parking related schemes, drafting TRO’s and carrying out Public Utility searches. It will involve assisting with the collating, reporting and recording of information; assessing condition of highway network, recommending and inputting to the design of remedial works; organising repairs and works identified in the annual maintenance programme, checking compliance with technical standards.

Qualifications required – BTEC level 3 in Civil Engineering or similar.

Industry Experience required – 2 to 5 years.

Professional qualification required – Eng Tech.

Qualifications required – BTEC level 3 in Civil Engineering or similar.
