Trainee Engineering Technician
Bedford is growing at a fast pace and we are investing heavily in our highways infrastructure. With significant projects such as our £20 million Bedford 2020 congestion relief programme, major development works to support housing and business growth and public realm improvement works.
You will assist in the design and delivery of highways and drainage projects, and carrying out Public Utility searches. It will involve assisting with the collating, reporting and recording of information; surveying and assessing condition of highway network, recommending and inputting to the design of works and the preparation of works packages, checking compliance with technical standards. This role is part of the Engineering Services Career Progression Scheme.
Qualifications required – A levels at grade C or above ideally including mathematics and science. 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including mathematics, English and science.
Experience required – No previous experience required.
Qualification provided – BETC level 3 in a relevant subject.
