Job Details

A permanent opportunity is available as the Noise Team Manager. We would like to hear from exceptional candidates with a can-do attitude who think laterally when solving problems.

A review of the service has been carried out and as a result of this the team manager will be expected to lead the team on a journey of service developments and improvements in accordance with a 12 month strategy in place. The team will need support and strong leadership and the manager will also need to ensure our customers still receive the same level of good service they are accustomed to during this time.

The noise team is a busy reactive service and the team manager needs to organise and lead the team to meet service demand effectively and deal diplomatically with a wide range of noise issues. In addition to following the normal enforcement paths to resolve noise nuisance the team manager needs to be capable of leading on work with other agencies and services.

You will have experience of delivering a regulatory service including working collaboratively on enforcement cases with other agencies and services.

In return for your skills and professionalism we offer the chance to work in a thriving team with varied professional challenges.

You will be required to hold a full UK driving licence and have a suitable vehicle for council duties.

The service operates 7 days a week including at weekends and evenings and the manager will need to work flexibly in order to achieve the objectives.

You should be able to manage, direct and develop a team of professional and technical staff. This will include monitoring performance, preparing and presenting reports as required, and implementing changes in service delivery as necessary

We particularly welcome candidates with experience of having successfully managed a period of change including supporting a team through the process.

The Closing date for the post is 21st July 2019

Interviews will be held on the 25th and 26th July 2019.

For an informal discussion about this post, contact Ella Smallcombe on 0208 921 2119
