Facilities Management Manager

The Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise & Skills is responsible for leading on many high profile projects and we are seeking to fill a key post leading the Building Management Team.

We are looking for someone with an excellent track record as well as a desire to deliver high quality work across a truly unique and exciting London borough.  The role will:

Accountable for all aspects of the performance of the FM team and the wide range of services delivered through the agreed FM arrangements.

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships, at all levels throughout the Council, based on open and honest communication, with all users and stakeholders in the services being delivered.
  • Set, review and monitor performance against targets and standards for the delivery of FM services.
  • Achieve high levels of customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

Take responsibility for the Council’s budgets for the entire range of FM services, monitoring, reporting and dealing with financial issues arising, including:

  •   Effective management of core budgets
  •   Management of additional works against agreed budget
  •   Provide Value for Money – effective cost management
  •   Pro-active and innovative approaches demonstrated
  •   Manage the procurement of FM services, having regard to legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures
  •   Produce regular operational and financial management reports
  •   Plan, develop and manage projects, or supervise project managers in relation to works of repair, improvement or adaptation in the Council’s buildings subject to FM arrangements.
