We are inviting applications for a Client Affairs Officer role within the Safeguarding Adults Team.

Under the direction, of the MCA Lead /Corporate Appointee & Deputy Clients Finances you will be responsible for an efficient and effective provision of a comprehensive client financial affairs function; for Adult Social Care, Oxleas Mental Health Team, clients in residential and nursing care, and supported in the community.

This will include Appointeeship applications to the Department of Works & Pensions and the opening of individual bank accounts for clients, inputting, making payments and reconciliation of on line banking for clients and maintaining established data recording.

 In addition, you will be involved in assisting and conducting property searches, appropriate disposal arrangements, prepare papers for the Court of Protection for the appointment of London Borough of Bexley to act as delegated deputy. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in financial safeguarding and /or other relevant knowledge and experience such as; direct customer contact in relation to client finances. The ability to travel around the borough is essential.

Appointment to this post will be subject to an enhanced disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
