The Inclusion, Learning and Achievement team is well placed to meet the needs of all children in Greenwich.  At our outstanding multi-agency Centre in Woolwich, we are aiming to raise standards for all children, supporting their education, their welfare and ensuring that they are safe.  To do this, we need a certain type of person: a qualified professional with vision and determination; someone with experience of working with schools and families, with a level of expertise in education and attendance law; a deft communicator who can present to diverse audiences.

Attendance Advisory Officer – 41 weeks per year

Working alongside outstanding practitioners within Children’s Services, you will undertake the specialist role of Attendance Officer to assist the LA, specifically schools, in meeting statutory obligations with regards to school attendance and the welfare of its pupils. You will contribute to the raising of achievement by improving attendance at school, through analysing data, advising on targeted action and whole school strategies in line with the Children and Young People’s Plan.  You will ensure the development and dissemination of best practice across our schools.
