An exciting opportunity for a Highways Gang Leader has arose based at Taylors Lane, Oldbury.
Duties include to carry out the construction, maintenance or repair of highway infrastructure including verges, footways, carriageways and associated infrastructure. You must be able to lead a small team working safely to deliver daily targets. The post holder must be able to lay kerbs and paving to line and level, lay and compact bituminous materials and erect all types of street furniture, Pedestrian Guard rail, sign poles, street lighting columns.
You will drive and operate construction plant, use small construction plant (compressed air breakers, compaction equipment, abrasive wheels, saws etc) and set up temporary traffic management.
The post holder:
- Must hold a Class 2 LGV Driving Licence
- Must be Street Works (HAUC(UK) qualified to Operative level all units and registered on SWQR
- Must have at least 3 years experience working on highways
