The Royal Borough is looking to developer a number of sites within its ownership predominantly for housing, and the planning team is looking for a Senior Principal Planning Officer to manage this process from pre-application discussions through to application submission and decision.

The position is within the Development Team and the role would be supported by a dedicated planning officer whom the Senior Principal Planning Officer would be responsible for supervising to ensure a professional, cost-effective and high quality development management service is delivered. 

You will be an experienced Development Management Planner; ideally you will have some experience of managing or mentoring staff.  You must be able to form strong collaborative working relationships with a range of public and private sector stakeholders and have excellent writing skills. Ideally you will have presented to committees and have some experience with reviewing junior officers work.  You will have a relevant professional qualification.
