This post represents an exciting opportunity to support that investment in sustainable infrastructure for the 21st century. The role will also oversee the city’s £25m investment in LED technology for street lighting and be instrumental in the pursuit of smart city connectivity.
The successful candidate will lead and manage highways and structures asset management, the direct labour organisation, street lighting PFI and partner contractors and agencies. The service delivers an extensive programme of maintenance and renewals with combined works budgetary responsibility of around £45m per annum. The role is required to work across a number of authorities, parties and services to ensure delivery meets the required performance standards and the statutory duties of the authority with minimal disruption and inconvenience to local residents and general highways users.
