Greenwich Mental Health Service

Centralised Approved Mental Health Professional Team 

 Sessional Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional 

To provide the highest standard of care our professionals need a well organised team around them.  We are continuing to establish a bank of sessional AMHPs to provide additional out of hours, weekend and Bank Holiday Standby/On-call cover. 

You must have experience of working with service users, carers and families within a crisis intervention model of care and will be expected to provide a response to requests for consultation, advice and assessment to Greenwich residents in mental health crisis.  You must be able to work autonomously and have the ability to undertake complex risk assessment and risk management work.

For this role you must have the relevant professional social work qualification and current HCPC (Health Care Professional Council) registration.  You must be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (In accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and AMHP Regulations 2008 and have significant experience of Mental Health Act work.
