A brand new approach to supporting victims of Domestic Violence with their housing and other support needs

The Post 

As Domestic Abuse Housing Officer, you’ll be using your skills and expertise to deliver intensive, specialist support to homeless clients who are victims of domestic abuse. 

You will ensure better support and coordination between different areas within and outside the council providing domestic abuse services. 

You will also be responsible for representing homelessness services at domestic abuse meetings internally and externally, such as MARAC.

The Person

The successful applicant will be compassionate, committed and collaborative with the enthusiasm and drive to transform the way local government and public services work. 

You will need comprehensive understanding of the law relating to domestic abuse and experience of working and supporting key systems in Housing services. 

You will also have excellent knowledge of housing legislation, a strong understanding of domestic abuse services and experience of providing service users with support. 

You will have great analytical skills and experience of stakeholder engagement with excellent organisational and I.T skills.
