Job Details
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable team player with excellent communication skills to join our team as a box office assistant. The successful candidate with be responsible for providing a variety of administrative and customer service duties to support the Box Office team, including selling Theatre and special event tickets in person and over the phone, processing internet bookings, chasing payments, managing group bookings and providing excellent front line service for our customers.
You will need to be thoroughly computer literate, and have strong administrative skills including excellent numeracy and literacy. You will also need to have competent keyboard skills to enable you to deliver a high standard of service using our dedicated booking system.
Experience of handling various methods of payment with accurate reconciliation is essential; along with an ability to capture customer details, process bookings, and enter financial transactions with a high level of accuracy.
As a frontline member of staff at our Theatres, you will be excellent at dealing with the public and will be expected to display a confident, welcoming and positive attitude whilst providing a high standard of customer service. Attention to detail is essential along with the ability to keep calm whilst working under pressure in a busy, sometimes highly pressured environment. In addition to ticket sales you will be required to fulfil general administration tasks and to provide a reception service to our Theatres.
The successful applicant will be required to work 18 hours a week on a variable shift basis covering the opening hours of 9.45 am to 8.30 pm Monday to Saturday, plus occasional Sundays and bank holidays so flexibility is a must.
