The Suffolk health and care system are looking for a dynamic, innovative and resilient leader to join us as the Associate Director of Transformation: Children and Young People. This post is one of a number for which the local system is coming together to create joint roles which span health and care, commissioning and provision to drive forward on significant change in an environment of co-production with children, young people and families.

The post is hosted by Ipswich and East Suffolk and West Suffolk CCGs and Suffolk County Council and the successful applicant can be employed by either organisation.  However, the post is accountable into the wider health and care system within Suffolk for the development and delivery of our local Children and Young People’s Transformation Programme.

The programme of change the local health and care system has committed for and with our service users related to children and young people is significant both in its ambition and scale. The main elements cover Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), Acute and Community Paediatric Services with significant challenges to overcome. However, we are committed to change and importantly to make this change through co-production with our key strategic partners including children, young people and families.

You will have reached a point in your career where you can demonstrate hands on experience of working across organisations with a track record of working in co-production to bring about strategic and operational change and improvements.  Clinical and/or operational management experience within the health and care system would be an advantage but is not essential.

Please note that interviews will be held on 25 April 2019.
