Salary range: £35,025 - £38,040 p.a. inc.

Contract: Fixed term (12 Months)

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: South Kilburn and Civic Centre from time to time

The Post

Project Officer required for large scale residential development programme, the successful candidate will be involved in a variety of roles ranging from preparing sites for development, assisting in the procurement of developer partners and consultants, through to engaging with local residents and tenants at public meetings. 

In short you will cover the full spectrum of land development within a project framework context. Reviewing contracts and land documentation as well as produce research and analysis on the various projects within the overall programme. 

The post holder will be assigned specific projects and will support a senior project officer in bringing forward successful schemes. 

The delivery of quality new homes for Brent residents and tenants will be your goal. You will prepare reports containing complex financial data and will be expected to present this in a clear manner. 

The audience will range from professional internal meetings through to Councillor presentations and public meetings with local resident and tenants. 

The Person 

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to understand and interrogate financial information. 

You should also have an understanding of good housing design, development and planning issues such as CPO. 

Self-disciplined and show an ability to work under pressure to a fixed timeframe in regard to delivering against project milestones. 

An ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner will be a necessity, both verbally and in writing to internal and external parties. 

The role is varied and challenging so an ability to work on a number of projects and issues at the same time will be essential, flexibility will also be required as you will be working in South Kilburn and occasionally the Civic Centre. Occasional evening work is an unavoidable consequence of this type of role.
