About Us

Transport for West Midlands is the transport face of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration.  We work with individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships who deliver many vital services, but on the big decisions we ensure we have the resources to work together and tackle specialist challenges and opportunities.

This is an exciting time for the West Midlands - with Coventry’s City of Culture in 2021, the Commonwealth Games here in 2022, the arrival of HS2 which will help make us a world class business location and a new £350m housing deal aims to deliver 215,000 new homes by 2031.  All supported by a massive local programme of bus rapid transit, highway improvements, bike hire, new metro lines and new local rail stations.

About the Role

As a GIS Analyst you will work within TfWM’s extremely strong Data Insight team. A dynamic, solution focused person, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders and colleagues to support and maintain GIS systems, collate information and prepare and present performance monitoring reports ensuring system functionality is fit for purpose to support the delivery of a better, more efficient service to our customers. You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to a significant increase use of GIS technology.  You will be fully conversant with system functionality and able to provide support, guidance and training when required.
