Job Details
Chelmsford City Council is the lead authority for the South Essex Parking Partnership who operates on-street parking enforcement on behalf of Essex County Council across the boroughs and districts of Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Maldon, Rochford and Chelmsford City.
The back-office operation for parking enforcement is the essential administration hub for the Partnership. It provides a high level of service, through easy accessible systems and provides a point of contact where professional advice can be given through various communication channels.
You will be responsible for processing informal challenges against the issue of penalty charge notices, prepare cases for adjudication and attend hearings when necessary. You will also provide excellent customer services and good parking knowledge when supporting customers in their enquiries by phone, email and letter.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well organised individual who has a desire to provide outstanding customer service and administration support in an interesting, varied and challenging environment. The ideal candidate for this role will be a good communicator who can be decisive and remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a commitment to fully understand the legislation of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week within the Councils current flexi scheme.
Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment, and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services.
