Project Manager and Research Officer – London Lorry Control Scheme Review

Full-time: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Grade: Band C

Salary: £34,390 per annum

Reference: LC729

The Role

London Councils is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join a small team to work on the research and analysis of a set of recommendations following a comprehensive review of the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS).

The review sought to assess the effectiveness and the impact on freight operators, businesses and London residents and outlined a series of short, medium and long term recommendations on how the scheme could be improved. It highlighted the research required to ensure that the LLCS remains compatible with the aims of a modern 24-hour City. Some of the more complex ‘long term’ recommendations relate to the current terms and conditions and enforcement aspects of the LLCS.

You should be self-motivated, a quick learner and able to communicate and form positive relationships with a variety of key stakeholders. You will have the ability to work to strict deadlines, interpret and source transport data and based on your project management experience, use your own initiative to collate existing research, generate and analyse new data and recommend options for change.
