Parking Operations are seeking three full time and one part time (15 hours per week) customer focused Process Officers to play a central role investigating and responding to customer parking enquiries and civil appeals.

The post holders will efficiently investigate penalty charge notice challenges and respond in writing to all enquiries received relating to parking matters, as well as preparing high quality evidence for hearings. You should be able to write responses of a high standard, using standard paragraphs and free typing, acting fairly and presenting the Council’s case in a manner that protects revenue and the public image of the Council.

You’ll have the opportunity to also work on various projects within Parking Services when they arise in order to further improve the service the Council delivers to the public and to drive down costs where opportunities arise.


The successful candidates will have strong communication and analytical skills, being able to gather evidence and present information in a clear and concise manner to a range of audiences. Alongside this, you’ll also have the ability to represent an organisation in a tribunal based setting.
