Waste Services Loader
Louth Depot, Fairfield Industrial Estate
East Lindsey District Council are responsible for the collection of waste and recycling from 60,000 properties within the district as well as undertaking other essential cleansing services.
An opportunity has become available to join the Council's Waste Services department in the role of Waste Loader, based at the Fairfield Depot in Louth. You will undertake waste and recycling collection duties alongside other cleansing and maintenance duties, under the direction of the Driver/Loader, Supervisor and Waste Services Manager.
Start time is 05:30am and a shift system is in operation working four days within a Monday-Friday period . Some Bank Holiday working is also involved.
Whilst experience of waste collection operations and a knowledge of East Lindsey is desirable, the ability to work flexibly within a team and willingness to learn new skills across waste services is essential.
It is also desirable that the post holder be willing and able to undertake HGV training with a view to becoming a driver within the department. The HGV training will be paid for by ELDC.
The work is physically demanding and requires working outside in all weathers.
