We’re seeking an intelligent and future focused Business Analyst to join the Parking Operations team. You’ll play a leading role in influencing business critical decisions, proving high quality strategic input and analysis on the service’s finances and service improvements. The post holder will ensure that parking processes are effective; simple and accessible; efficient and fair, and that these processes deliver the overall strategic objectives and follow the direction of the service and Camden Plan outcomes.


You will regularly engage with the Corporate Services Directorate and the Leadership family to maintain an overview of all financial reporting and manage the service’s financial risk. You’ll effectively use data to provide high quality, accurate and timely management information with insightful analysis and recommendations. Alongside this, you’ll develop an in depth understanding of the end to end parking system, modelling scenarios and undertaking high level and detailed options appraisals to demonstrate and analyse the impacts of proposed policy and process change on customer service and income.

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate sound knowledge of modelling and analysis techniques, using a variety of research methods to assess and represent risk at both operational and strategic level. Knowledge of parking legislation; systems and processes would be beneficial.


The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with members of the public, business representatives, contractors and Council members, including presenting reports to committees and other public meetings is key to the role. As is your strong influencing skills, as you will be required to engage and influence decision making by building rapport with staff at all levels.


You will proactively conduct accurate fieldwork, carrying out relevant written and statistical analysis on findings and making insightful observations, delivering concise briefings, considering the needs of multiple stakeholders. The ability to work using your own initiative, managing conflicting priorities, meeting deadlines, targets and agreed work standards is essential.
