Highways Officer G7 (Sleaford / Bourne)
Lincolnshire County Council is recruiting several positions to assist in the delivery of Local Highways Management, Highway Asset Management, and Street Works and Permitting to ensure the efficient management and use of the Lincolnshire highway network.
The Highways Officer will support the delivery of excellent highways services in one or more Local Areas of the county including:
• Highways maintenance;
• Winter maintenance;
• Highways Inspections;
• Highways Act enforcement;
• Traffic Management;
• Involvement in District emergencies which may be out of office hours;
• Minor highways and environmental improvements;
• Public interface on all Highway Services;
• Administration and Financial management of Highways services;
• Contract monitoring and inspection.
Have you got experience in customer care?
Can you evidence brilliant communicational skills?
Can you demonstrate understanding of issues affecting highway network? Then you will be able to support the delivery of essential highway services in Lincolnshire.
In these posts you will need a good level of technical knowledge to engage with the community and inspect and place works orders to the Alliance contractors.
These diverse posts have a varied workload including the coordination of works, daily communication with a variety of customers and groups in a range of methods and assisting in the development and use of suitable IT systems and processes.
